Terms

How credits, generations and storage work.

These terms describe how Visual Rails charges for work and keeps your files. See also our privacy notice and pricing.

Credits and paid work

Work is paid from your prepaid wallet. Before a paid generation starts, Studio shows an estimate and places a hold for it. The hold becomes a charge when the output is delivered, and is returned when the work fails before a provider accepts it.

Sometimes a provider may have accepted a request but we cannot confirm it, for example when a connection drops. We do not send that request again automatically, and the hold stays in place until the result arrives or someone reviews it. This keeps us from buying the same work twice.

Model prices come from providers and can change. The estimate shown before you start is the price for that request.

Storage

Saved files, including archived files, are charged at $0.15/GB/month. The charge builds up daily and is taken from your wallet. You cannot save new files while your wallet cannot cover storage you owe plus today’s storage.

When your wallet first cannot cover storage, a 7-day grace period starts. During it you can still download your files and add credit. Adding enough credit ends the grace period. If storage is still unfunded when it ends, ordinary library files may be permanently removed.

These are not removed automatically: files used by published previews, files used by marketplace delivery packages, those previews and packages themselves, and files that running jobs are using. Removal runs in batches and waits while other paid work on your account is in progress. Your wallet history, charges and job records stay after files are removed.

Your content

You are responsible for the prompts, uploads and references you provide, including photos of people, and for how you use the results. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

Availability

Models and features depend on outside providers and can be limited, paused or removed. During heavy demand, work can wait in a queue before it starts.
